Here is an idea of a typical day during the retreat.

Yes! Let us know when you book your spot, and we can adjust the menu. We must know no less than 10 days in advance of the retreat. Extreme allergies also need to be discussed with a Casa Firefly representative in advance to make sure we can safely accommodate the allergy in question.

Meat protein can be added to the menu for an additional cost per person.

There is a local grocery store 2 minutes away if you want to purchase your own snacks and beverages to keep in your mini fridge in your room.

Yoga experience is not required but encouraged.  Corrina teaches to all levels and will offer modifications and detailed alignment instruction as needed. In this intimate setting, you’ll get more individual attention, and be able to ask questions in real-time.

No, airfare is not included in the cost of the retreat.

The closest international airport is in San Jose (SJO). Our recommendation is to fly into SJO Int. Airport.

The closest domestic airport to the retreat is Limon (LIO).

We suggest all flights arrive by 9am (local time) or earlier on March 15th at SJO airport. This will allow you to get through customs in time to meet our private shuttle.

We highly recommend arriving the day before and get a good night sleep and delicious breakfast at one of the nearby hotels. Many of the hotels offer free shuttle service from the airport. Our private shuttle will then pick you up in the morning at your hotel as long as it is near the airport.  As you are making your travel arrangements you can keep in touch with Corrina and connect with other participants to stay at the same hotel or even share rooms if you would like.

If you prefer a shorter travel day there is a Sansa flight that will take you from the local airport, located just next door to SJO, to Limon. This is a 45 minute flight followed by a 30 taxi or shuttle to the retreat center.  Cost of the flight is around $116 each way.  If you choose this option, or any other option besides the scheduled private shuttle, you are responsible for any additional cost and travel arrangements. The price of your retreat ticket remains the same.

It is recommended to book a late evening flight if you plan to leave the day the retreat ends. It is a 4.5 hour shuttle to the airport and traffic/roads can be unpredictable. If you are leaving the day the retreat ends your best option will be to purchase a ticket on the earliest Sansa Flight that day so that you can get to SJO with plenty of time to catch your flight.

Many participants choose to stay at a hotel near the airport the day the retreat ends and fly out the next morning. This allows for a more relaxed departure. You are of course welcome to extend your stay in CR and even at the retreat center if space is available following the retreat dates.

The Sansa flight is 45 minutes from Limon to SJO for about $116. It is about a 30 minute shuttle or taxi from the retreat center to Limon airport. The local airport is located right next to the International airport so you can just walk over to check in for your International flight. This is an additional cost and not included in the price of your retreat ticket.

Yes and No

Airport transfer to the retreat in a private shuttle is included. The return trip is NOT included(more on that below.) It is a 4.5 hour drive through the beautiful mountains of Costa Rica. The shuttle can make stops as necessary for snacks, meals, and bathroom breaks. Because traffic conditions can be unpredictable the time of travel is not guaranteed.

* You must arrive at SJO International Airport no later than 9am on the day of the retreat to take this private shuttle. There are red eye flights that will get you there in time, but many people prefer to arrive the day before and get a good night sleep and delicious breakfast at one of the nearby hotels. The return trip is not included because people often make different plans for their departure including the Sansa Flight, or staying in Costa Rica for an extended trip. We can arrange a shuttle if there are enough people leaving at the same time.

We’re sorry, but due to the nature of the limited available spots, we cannot offer refunds for this trip.

If you cannot attend for any reason and we have time to find a replacement, we will do our best to fill your spot.

If a replacement is found, we can refund your payment minus the $500 non-refundable deposit to cover our prenegotiated processing and service fees with the retreat facilities.

Yes! We understand the commitment and difficulty with “taking the leap”.  Payment plans are an option when you book your spot.

The temperature averages between 77-89 degrees Fahrenheit year-round. This area has a different climate than the Pacific side and tends to get more moisture year-round, giving the jungle a beautiful lush greenery backdrop for our retreat.

Weather is unpredictable. Because it is the rainforest, things tend to be damp. Prepare for heat, rain, and humidity. Lightweight clothing and layers.

Absolutely! This retreat is all about you and connecting to your inner self. If that means an added adventure, great!

If it means laying on the beach all day, that’s great too. Additional activity options nearby include; a zipline, individual sound healing in water, surfing, and snorkeling.

We have planned a simple schedule of what is included so that you don’t feel overwhelmed with choices or get burned out at the end of the trip. But if there is something you want to add to make your experience special, we can help you set it up.

Travel insurance is not required, but it is always a good idea to protect your investment in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

Remember that traffic can be unpredictable, and the trip may take longer. Your group may also want to stop for an optional meal, adding to the trip time.

You can also choose to book the local Sansa Airlines flight from SJO to Limon (LIO), and a shuttle can be arranged to pick you up from Limon Airport. Yes! A waiver will be signed that will offer additional details for retreat rules, but simply…

1. Be a good human (we know you are).
2. Respect the staff, environment (our Mother), and the local community.
3. Treat the place as if it is your own

A liability waiver will be sent to you to sign to protect all parties upon receipt of your deposit.

Casa Firefly Rules and Regulations will be a part of this waiver.

You may find that Costa Rica isn’t as “inexpensive” as you have been told or may expect. Many things are priced similarly to what you would find in the US.

However, very little money is needed outside of the retreat and travel costs.
